About Us

Macater Press, founded in 2008, is a peer-reviewed academic press dedicated to publishing titles in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies. We are especially interested in under-represented research areas within those disciplines.

We are pleased to announce the release of our inaugural series on Irish Dance Studies beginning in October 2008, and the Celtic Music series in June 2010.
